Bouskour Copper Project: project under development by Managem in the Eastern Anti-Atlas. Reserves at this project are estimated at over 9 million tonnes all ore at an average copper grade of 1.61%. The feasibility study was completed in 2018.
Tizert project: project under development by Managem in the Taroudant province. Tizert is a high potential copper deposit with estimated resources of 611,000 tonnes of metal. With this project, Managem plans to double its copper production by 2021. The feasibility study was finalised in 2018.
Khémisset potash project: under development by the British company Emmerson PLC, which acquired the assets of Moroccan Salts Limited (MSL). Emmerson PLC is preparing to start construction of the plant by the end of the year. The British firm, listed on the London Stock Exchange, has confirmed that the largest potash mine on the continent is expected to come on stream in 2023.
Emmerson PLC has raised £5.5 million to accelerate the development of the project. Initial production targets have even been increased, as the feasibility study predicted annual production of 750,000 tonnes of muriate of potash (MOP).
Tighza mining site development projects: project under development by the Touissit Mining Company (CMT) in the Mrirt region. This project consists of :
- A Filonian Gold Project: a gold exploration project, in an advanced stage of development following the completion of various research and drilling operations. Valuation tests carried out on representative lots of the deposit have revealed good gold recovery at grades of 4 to 7g/t. CMT's objective is to launch this project within the next two years.
- New Pb-Zn production sites: Development and preparation for the opening of three new mining sites at Tighza (Pb-Zn): Iguer Oujna, Filons Parallèles and Filon Tazart to sustain the activity and increase the production rate.
