Conscious of the great importance of bilateral cooperation in attracting investments, transferring technology and implementing development projects and programs, the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Environment attaches great importance to the promotion and development of international cooperation with Arab, European, American and Asian friendly countries.
The Ministry also provides its efforts to follow the royal vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aiming to deepen and diversify international cooperation with African countries and expand the South-South cooperation model in the context of fruitful and sustainable cooperation to contribute to supporting the development and growth potential of African economies and the development of human competencies on the African continent.
Thus, between 2010 and 2019, 44 cooperation agreements with friendly countries were concluded, of which 19 were of interest to African countries. It covers all fields of energy, minerals, hydrocarbons and geology.
With regard to multilateral cooperation, which is part of the commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco to its partners to cooperate effectively in all its forms and dimensions, and making it a major focus of foreign policy, the energy and mining sector continues to cooperate with some international organizations and regional groups with a to launch or contribute to the implementation of projects and programs programmed in this sector development.
On the other hand, the Ministry is working to strengthen its participation in international and regional events to promote the potential of the national energy and mining sector, with the aim of attracting foreign investments and exchanging expertise and experience, especially with African countries.
