ELECTRICITY GENERATION PROJECTS

The main projects concerning the supply during the period 2018-2021 are as follows:

  •  NOOR TAFILALET Photovoltaic Solar Power Project (120 MW)

The NOOR TAFILALET solar photovoltaic project consists of 3 plants with an average unit capacity of 40 MW each. The cost of the project is estimated at 1190 Million MAD, for commissioning in 2018.

  •  NOOR ATLAS Photovoltaic Solar Power Project (200 MW)

The NOOR Atlas project for a solar photovoltaic power plant with a total power of 200 MW, to be developed in EPC mode and will consist of 8 solar photovoltaic plants with a unit power of 25 to 40 MWp. The cost of the project is estimated at 3519 Million MAD, for commissioning in 2019.

  •  TAZA wind farm (150 MW)

The Taza wind farm project has a capacity of 150 MW and an estimated cost of 2411 million MAD, for commissioning scheduled in 2018.

  •  850 MW Integrated Wind Project

The 850 MW Integrated Wind Project consists of the development, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a total installed capacity of 850 MW, spread over five wind farms, namely:

  • MIDELT wind farm (180 MW),
  • TISKRAD wind farm (300 MW).
  • Tangiers II wind Farm (70MW).
  • Jbel Lahdid wind farm (200MW).
  • Boujdour wind farm (100 MW).
  •  Safi Coal Power Station (2x693 MW)

Scheduled to meet the country's growing demand for electricity, the project cost is estimated at 24,000 million MAD, for commissioning in 2018.

  •  The Abdelmoumen Plant for the Transfer of Energy by Pumping 350 MW

The Abdelmoumen Plant for the Transfer of Energy by Pumping, with a capacity of 350 MW, is the second Pumping Energy Transfer Station to be built after Aferer that has a capacity of 464 MW. It will be located at the tail end of the Abdelmoumen dam. The cost of the project is estimated at 2400 Million MAD for commissioning in 2021.
